ARTIST STATEMENT
“The Monoliths start a dialogue with the unknown, both within ourselves and with the world.
They challenge us to question our own understanding.
In that way, they embody the idea that there are always new questions to ask, and that the journey of discovery is endless.
The Monoliths also play with notions of time in a way that is meant to provoke reflection. I wrote a story behind them that leaves certain questions intentionally unanswered:
Where do they come from? What are they made of? Are they alive, or do they contain some form of unknown technology?
By leaving these questions open-ended, I invite the viewer to engage not just with the physical presence of the sculptures, but with more existential questions, about the mysteries of existence, and the unknowns of the past and future.”

The Story:
In the deepest part of the Mediterranean Sea, specifically in the Calypso Deep, a team of marine archaeologists embarked on a quest that would rewrite history.
There, they unearthed a marvel that defied understanding, an enigmatic artifact, a sculpture unlike any seen before.
Its form emerged from a material that blended smoothness with rough textures, its surface aglow with a faint luminescence, hinting at inner vitality.
For years, the artifact remained a closely guarded secret, studied in silence by Dr. Jano Ailo, the expedition’s leader.
“This Monolith," Jano declared, "is a bridge between worlds. A testament to a technology that surpasses modern understanding. It holds a mysterious power.”
